Mary's Song

Words by Marion Palmer & Music by Paul Grant

This is a great way to create a nativity scene. You need 8 kids (I use 4 boys and 4 girls) ... Mary, Joseph, 3 Shepherds & 3 Wise Men. Place a manger at the front with a small stool for Mary to sit on. During the intro for first verse, Mary sits on stool in front of manger. During the playing of intro for second verse Joseph comes and stands behind Mary ... during 3rd verse intro Shepherds come and stand on one side of the manger, one can kneel next to manger, and Wise Men do the same on the other side in 4th verse.
YOU HAVE JUST CREATED A BEAUTIFUL NATIVITY SCENE
Maybe after this you can sing Away In A Manger and Silent Night.

Mary was just a young girl
When God said "Mary will you carry,
My gift to all the world"
She could have said "no"
She could have stayed at home
But Mary carried, God's gift to the world

Joseph was just a young man
When God said "Joseph will you care for,
My gift to all the world"
He could have said "no"
He could have stayed at home
But Joseph cared for, God's gift to the world

Shepherds were minding their sheep
When God said "Shepherds will you go see,
My gift to all the world"
They could have said "no"
They could have stayed at home
But Shepherds went see, God's gift to the world

Wise Men lived so far away
When God said "Wise Men will you honour.
My gift to all the world"
They could have said "no"
They could have stayed at home
But Wise Men honoured, God's gift to the world
